AAI Selection Process 2026

6. Final merit and provisional appointment

There is no negative marking for wrong answers in the CBT according to the official advertisement.

For Manager (Fire Services), application verification is followed by physical measurement, driving and physical endurance tests. The physical endurance test includes running, casualty carrying, pole climbing, rope climbing and full ladder climbing and descending. Only candidates who qualify these tests proceed to the interview.

For Manager and Junior Executive Airport Operations posts, a valid Light Motor Vehicle licence is essential. A temporary or learner’s licence is not accepted. A valid permanent LMV licence is also required for Manager (Fire Services) at application verification.

AAI CBT Exam Pattern

The CBT is objective type and is conducted for all posts. The official advertisement confirms that there is no negative marking for an incorrect answer. AAI has uploaded discipline-specific syllabus PDFs on its recruitment syllabus page, including separate syllabi for Civil, Electrical, Finance, Law, Operations, Commercial, Corporate Planning, Corporate Communications, IT and Survey & Cartography posts.

Candidates should download the syllabus for their own post code because the subjects and technical content vary by discipline. The AAI notice does not use one common syllabus for all 389 vacancies.
