RRB JE Revised Exam Date 2026
RRB has revised the first-stage Computer-Based Test schedule under CEN 04/2026. The CBT 1 examination for JE, DMS and CMA posts is now scheduled for 27 and 28 October 2026.
The earlier information referred to an examination window from 27 to 30 October. The revised update removes 30 October from the current schedule. Candidates should not rely only on a general date range because the exact date, shift and centre are assigned candidate-wise.

RRB JE Eligibility 2026
Educational qualification
The qualification must be completed by the prescribed closing date, 13 September 2026, unless the official notification specifies a different condition for a particular post. Candidates awaiting final results on the closing date are generally not eligible for that post.
Junior Engineer
Depending on the post, candidates may possess:
• A three-year diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised institution; or
• A relevant B.E. or B.Tech degree from a recognised university or institution.
The relevant disciplines may include Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Industrial, Automobile, Instrumentation and Control, Information Technology or Computer Science, depending on the JE post.
