If you sat for the RRB ALP CBT-II exam last month, here’s the update you’ve probably been checking your phone for every few hours. RRB has put the CBT-II Answer Key up on its official website, live since 05 August. The exam itself happened on 28 July, so this came out fairly quick, actually — quicker than a lot of RRB’s other processes have gone in this same recruitment cycle.

This one falls under CEN – 01/2025, and it’s genuinely massive — 10,970 posts for Assistant Loco Pilot, making it one of the biggest railway recruitment drives in recent memory. If you cleared CBT-I and sat for CBT-II, I’ve laid out everything below — how to check your answer key, all the dates from notification to now, zone-wise result and cutoff links, and every official link you’d actually need. No digging through RRB’s regional websites required.

Quick Overview

Detail	Information
Conducting Body	Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)
Exam Name	Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Recruitment
CEN Number	CEN – 01/2025
Total Posts	10,970
CBT-II Exam Date	28 July 2026
CBT-II Answer Key Released On	05 August 2026
Application Closed On	19 May 2025
Official Website	rrbapply.gov.in

Important Dates

This one’s had a long, drawn-out timeline with quite a few date revisions along the way, so here’s the full picture in one place rather than scattered across regional notices:

• Notification Date: 12 April 2025
• Online Apply Start Date: 12 April 2025
• Online Apply Last Date: 19 May 2025
• Last Date for Fee Payment: 21 May 2025
• Correction Window: 22–31 May 2025
• Revised Exam Date (CBT-I): 13, 16, 17 & 18 February 2026
• Re-scheduled Exam Date (CBT-I): 11 March 2026
• CBT-I Answer Key: 20 March 2026
• CBT-I Result: 12 June 2026
• CBT-II Exam Date: 28 July 2026
• CBT-II Exam City Details: 18 July 2026
• CBT-II Admit Card: 24 July 2026
• CBT-II Answer Key: 05 August 2026 (available now)

Honestly, this recruitment has been running since April 2025, with CBT-I getting pushed back at least once along the way. If you’ve followed it from the start, you already know RRB timelines rarely go exactly as planned — so double-check the official website rather than treating any date here as absolutely final.

Application Fee

General and OBC candidates pay ₹500, while SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates pay a reduced ₹250. Payment happens online — debit card, credit card, net banking, IMPS, or a cash card/mobile wallet, whatever’s easiest for you.

Age Limit (As on 1 July 2025)

The age bracket runs from 18 to 30 years as on 1 July 2025. Railways gives the usual relaxation for reserved categories per their standard rules — worth checking the official notification for the exact numbers if that applies to you.

Vacancy & Eligibility

There’s just one post here, but the eligibility requirement has a bit of nuance worth understanding before you assume you’re covered:

Post Name	Total Posts	Eligibility Criteria
Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP)	10,970	10th pass along with an ITI certificate in the relevant trade, or a Diploma/Degree in Engineering in the respective field

That “relevant trade” bit is where it gets specific — eligibility actually varies zone by zone depending on which RRB region you applied under, so genuinely worth checking the official notification for your zone rather than assuming your ITI trade automatically qualifies you.

How to Check and Download the CBT-II Answer Key

The steps are pretty standard for RRB exams, though heads up — you’ll be doing this through RRB’s digialm portal rather than the main apply website, which trips people up more than you’d think:

1. Go to the official RRB Answer Key portal (link below).
2. Look for the section labeled “Answer Key / CEN Notifications.”
3. Find and click on “ALP CBT-II Answer Key 2026.”
4. Enter your Roll Number or registered details as asked.
5. The answer key will open, usually as a PDF.
6. Go through it and match it against what you remember answering.
7. Download the PDF and save it somewhere safe — take a printout too if you’re planning to raise any objections.

Zone-Wise CBT-I Result & Cutoff Links

If you’re still trying to locate your CBT-I result or cutoff from earlier in this recruitment, here’s every RRB zone in one table so you don’t have to search each region’s website separately:

RRB Zone	Check Result	Check Cutoff
Mumbai	Result	Cutoff
Ranchi	Result	Cutoff
Patna	Result	Cutoff
Muzaffarpur	Result	Cutoff
Ahmedabad	Result	Cutoff
Gorakhpur	Result	Cutoff
Bhopal	Result	Cutoff
Ajmer	Result	Cutoff
Chandigarh	Result	Cutoff
Guwahati	Result	Cutoff
Bilaspur	Result	Cutoff
Jammu-Srinagar	Result	Cutoff
Kolkata	Result	Cutoff
Siliguri	Result	Cutoff
Malda	Result	Cutoff
Bhubaneswar	Result	Cutoff
Thiruvananthapuram	Result	Cutoff
Secunderabad	Result	Cutoff
Bangalore	Result	Cutoff
Chennai	Result	Cutoff

That’s a lot of regions, and honestly, it’s one of the more annoying parts of dealing with RRB recruitments — every zone runs its own portal with its own PDF naming style, so if you can’t find your result at first glance, don’t assume it’s not out yet. Just go straight to your zone’s link rather than searching around blindly.

Selection Process

This isn’t a two-step affair. The full process runs through four stages — CBT-1, CBT-2, CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test), and then Document Verification along with a Medical Examination.

The CBAT stage trips up more candidates than you’d expect, mostly because it’s not something people prepare for the same way they prepare for CBT-1 and CBT-2. It’s an aptitude test, not a knowledge test — so it’s worth practicing sample CBAT questions specifically rather than assuming your general prep will just carry over.
